Image
JANUARY 5, 2017   Hello Family and Friends!  I hope that you all had the best Christmas and new Year. I cannot believe that we are now in 2017. Time is flying way to fast! It makes my heart race and I get all nervous when I really think about it! This week was great! We had dinner for New Years Eve with a family here in the ward and we had so much fun. But... the greatest thing about this week is that we were able to meet with our sweet investigator Catalina and confirm her baptism!! She is getting baptized on   Saturday January 7 !!!! We are so excited and so it she! I know that she is ready and I couldn't be more happy for her! What a great way to start off the New Year!  With this is mind, I hope that this year is the best year for everyone! I know that I am going to have a great one here in the mission... and I am pretty sure all of my friends will too because most of them are getting engaged or married... But this year really can be the greatest one yet!...

DECEMBER 28, 2016 This week was crazy!!! All we did all week was activities for Christmas and got ready for the big day. I was able to Skype with my sweet family! My mom is looking great and my siblings are huge and of course my dad is still cracking jokes! It was the best but also shortest hour and a half of my life!! But all is well and I feel so much better now that I was able to see the beautiful faces of my family. Christmas here was filled with love and the Spirit, just the way it should be! I really don't have much to write but I will send a lot of pictures!!  Love you all!   Hermana Cribbs

DECEMBER 21, 2016   Hello my dearest family and friends,       This week was insane!!!! I said goodbye to my companion, Hermana IbaƱez. She went home to Argentina and saying goodbye to her was one of the hardest things I have had to do here in the mission! She had more charity than anyone I have ever met. She was an angel for me and I learned so much from here. I just feel lucky h}to have been her companion and her friend. BUUUUUT that means I got a new companion named Hermana Oliveira! She is from Brazil and just the cutest. Actually we lived together when I first came to the mission and so we are already friends. I am really happy with her and am excited to work with her in our sector. I am still in my first ward and probably will be for 4 more weeks. I am happy where I am but at the same time I am ready to see and experience new things.       This week we had some powerful lessons. In all of them we just shared our testimonies of t...

The One with all the Goodbyes!

DECEMBER 14, 2016 So these past two weeks my companion has been visiting her past wards and saying goodbyes because she returns to Argentina on Tuesday! Soo we have been saying a lot of goodbyes to everyone! It has been kind of rough for me because I only have 5 months in the mission..... LOL. But at the same time it makes me realize that I am so lucky to still have time in the mission! I love the mission and don't want to leave so I am happy here.   So this week we had so much happen. These past two weeks we have pretty much just done contacting and trying to find new people, haven't had too much luck, but thats ok, in the Lord´s time. But we have had so many funny experiences! One day we were looking for a lady who we had talked to a few weeks past and we decided to look for her again. When we got to the house she and her mom we outside. Her mom was pretty scary and came right up to my face and asked me what I believed in. I told her that we believe in our Savior Jesus ...

DECEMBER 7TH 2016- MISSY'S BIRTHDAY! HELLO FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!  (pics:THIS IS MY CUTE COMP, ALSO A DOG THAT HAS A PROBLEM WITH ITS TONGUE SO IT IS ALWAYS LIKE THIS AND THEN THE BILLBOARD WE MADE IN THE CHURCH FOR CHRISTMAS! ) How is everyone? I want you all to know how much I love the letters and emails that I get. Sometimes I dont have time to reply to everyone but I always read them and have the biggest smile on my face.  So this week has been one of the most tiring weeks on my mission. We did 15 hours of service this week and the usual is only 4... so we are just exhausted! This week we didnt have many people to teach and not many people had time so we thought we would just serve... and oh boy that is what we did. It is the best to just help people and serve them with my heart. The people of Chile have my entire heart and soul.  So this week we are teaching a young woman who has 13 years and she is sooo great! She wants to get baptized and have a d...

The One with Leading my Sector and Loving the Work

NOVEMBER 30TH 2016 Hello family and friends! How is everyone doing as we are getting closer to the Holiday Season? I love that we are getting closer and closer because the Spirit of Christmas and the birth of our Savior is so strong and beautiful! So this week was great! I am leading my sector and man it is not the easiest thing to do! Actually it is very hard. I have to remember how to get everywhere, and if you know me, you know I ALWAYS go the wrong way! I also have to plan what our days we be like and really remember what everyone needs so that we can be there for the people. It is sometimes really difficult, but I have never been one to step aside and not take on the challenge. I also dont mind being the leader.. I think its because I am the oldest in my family. But I am learning so many new things! My comp is in her last 3 weeks of her mission and I am just in awe of her and trying to learn everything I can from her. This week I learned all about urgency. It is different to j...

The One with the CHANGES!!

NOVEMBER 23RD 2016 Hola mis amigos y familia!!  How is everyone doing and feeling? I hope that at this time of year everyone is happy and showing gratitude for all the things that we have in this life. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I have just been feeling do grateful. I have never been so happy I have never been so happy in my life! The mission is the best place I could be and the best decision I have ever made in my life!  OK so First things first, we had changes!!!! I m soooo sad. Our changes were special too. They were 2 weeks early than usual and only we had changes. My comp Hermana Ruiz was called to be an Hermana Leader. So, we had changes with the original Hermana Leaders so that Ruiz could be trained. The reason we had it early is because both of the Hna Leaders right now are leaving their missions   in 4 weeks !! So my Comp now is Hermana Ibanez and she has 18 months in the mission (She extended her mission one month). So I, ha...
