"Hi!
My name is Hermann Thomas and your daughters are serving in my ward Brisas del Maipo. Sister Cribbs and Sister Knechtel are helping my mom cooking humitas. Humitas are a chilean meal made with smashed corns that are evolved in the corn leaf and then are boiled in water. We chilean eat humitas with sugar. Humitas are so delicious!"

FEBRUARY 8, 2017 These are family home evenings with some of my favorite families in our ward and also with a new convert that we have! His name is Christian and he was baptized just a week before I came to the sector! He is a miracle and such a faithful member! He is one of the coolest people I have ever met! HELLO EVERYONE!!!  Okay so this week was a great one! Honestly never really had a bad one because I am just radiating with happiness! Buuuut this week was BAKAN! The One with Being Bold! 11-8-17

NOVEMBER 8, 2017 Hello friends and family how are you all doing this week! I am doing great here in the mission Chile Santiago South This week was a week full of conferences. We had one as the South part of the mission and then we had a huge one as a whole mission and the West mission. It was crazy! While we were there I realized how tiny our mission is and how few of us there really are. The West mission has many many missionaries and we are just so few, but we are the best! The west mission were all serious and our mission was a fun and excited! We are like a big, happy family! We had a special visit from Elder Christensen and his wife from the 70. They gave some powerful and uplifting talks! Something that stood out to me was a quote by Elder Christensen that said BE BOLD! I love this so much! It is soooo important to be bold in all that we do as missionaries! It is vital to share the Gospel and our Testimonies with Boldness! But not just missionaries with nametags all members need...

THE ONE WHERE I AM TRAINING!! 3/01

MARCH 1, 2017 Yup, so this week we had changes and I have been called to be a trainer! My daughter (companion but in the mission I am her mom and she is my daughter) is brand new! She has 2 dyas now in Chile and she is from Brasil! I also have to teach her Spanish. I know she will learn fast with the Gift of Tongues and with living here in Chile so I have no worries. She already speaks SO much more than I did when I came to Chile so we will be fine! She is from the south part of Brasil so her accent is very very strong! BUT we live with 2 other Hermanas also from Brasil sooo I have learned to understand what she is saying because I am used to the accent. I am living with 3 Brasilians and the two Elders in my ward are Brasilian too... looks like I am going to be learning some Portuguese!!
