The One with all the Service with a Smile!

DECEMBER 7TH 2016- MISSY'S BIRTHDAY!

HELLO FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!

How is everyone? I want you all to know how much I love the letters and emails that I get. Sometimes I dont have time to reply to everyone but I always read them and have the biggest smile on my face. 

So this week has been one of the most tiring weeks on my mission. We did 15 hours of service this week and the usual is only 4... so we are just exhausted! This week we didnt have many people to teach and not many people had time so we thought we would just serve... and oh boy that is what we did. It is the best to just help people and serve them with my heart. The people of Chile have my entire heart and soul. 

So this week we are teaching a young woman who has 13 years and she is sooo great! She wants to get baptized and have a date planned for the 18th of December. She is the cutest little thing and has been going to church for a long time but we just now got the permission form her parents to let her get baptized! It is soo exciting! It is the greatest blessing to see the Gospel change lives and help people to really grow. We also this week have helped a hermana come back to the church after 3 years. We are doing a lot of reactivating here in this mission. We have 30,000 members in our mission and the number of people who are active is 3000! WE HAVE WORK TO DO! I LOVE IT!! I AM READY!! So that is what we do everyday. We wake up and we look for our brothers and sisters who need to hear the Gospel or be reminded that they have it. The mission is the most rewarding time in my life. I have never been so happy! Also, before the mission I didnt truly understand what it meant to have a prayer in my heart always. Well, now I do! I have a prayer close in my heart every single day and second. I can see the difference like night and day in my life. I feel my Savior´s love always and there isnt a better feeling! So that is my advice this week! Seek to have a prayer in your hearts always!!! 

I hope all is well this week and you are all happy! Remember that we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father! I love you all soooo much!!

OCTOBER 18, 2017 Hello family and friends! I hope all is well and that you all had a great week and that everyone is getting ready for Halloween! This week here in Chile was a little crazy but full of learning and growing opportunities. To start out  the week we got a call from our Bishop at 6 in the morning informing us of the saddest news. A recent convert in our ward that we have been teaching lost her husband this week from a brain aneurysm. It was a rapid and uncontrollable loss.  This family has had more trials that anyone I have ever met. They have a one year old baby who had a tumor on the back on her neck and head that was the same size as her head. Part of her brain was inside of this ball, so the surges were sooo hard to do! The first one was to just split her skull open to make room, then another operation to push her brain inside her head, then had another emergency one because the blood wasnt flowing right. The One with Being Bold! 11-8-17

NOVEMBER 8, 2017 Hello friends and family how are you all doing this week! I am doing great here in the mission Chile Santiago South This week was a week full of conferences. We had one as the South part of the mission and then we had a huge one as a whole mission and the West mission. It was crazy! While we were there I realized how tiny our mission is and how few of us there really are. The West mission has many many missionaries and we are just so few, but we are the best! The west mission were all serious and our mission was a fun and excited! We are like a big, happy family! We had a special visit from Elder Christensen and his wife from the 70. They gave some powerful and uplifting talks! Something that stood out to me was a quote by Elder Christensen that said BE BOLD! I love this so much! It is soooo important to be bold in all that we do as missionaries! It is vital to share the Gospel and our Testimonies with Boldness! But not just missionaries with nametags all members need

The One with "Being Where My Feet Are"

FEBRUARY 8, 2017 These are family home evenings with some of my favorite families in our ward and also with a new convert that we have! His name is Christian and he was baptized just a week before I came to the sector! He is a miracle and such a faithful member! He is one of the coolest people I have ever met! HELLO EVERYONE!!!  Okay so this week was a great one! Honestly never really had a bad one because I am just radiating with happiness! Buuuut this week was BAKAN! We did a lot of searching for people but also had some really powerful and uplifting moments with investigadores. We met on lady named Rosa and she was outside her house painting. I told Hermana Knechtel that we should go ask if she needed help. SHe told us no and turned her back to us as if she didn't want to talk. I thought... you are not getting away that easy...
