The one with the Miracle!

AUGUST 23, 2017

This week was a pretty normal week with working long days, tried all the time, eating food that I am now so tired of, and looking for people to teach. Most of the time when we talk to people they are VERY Catholic or they are inactive members. So when we make time to contact we pray that we meet people who are interested in learning the Gospel. One day we had a Miracle! We met a girl named Gabriela! She let us ion her house and she shared with us that she recently found her beliefs in God. We were obviously very interested in this topic and wanted to hear more. She shared with us her life experience that has been a long and trialing journey. She ran away from an abusing household when she was 13 years old and lived with aunts and grandparents. She has had issues with drugs and alcohol, attempting to commit suicide, and depression. When she thought that she could handle no more, she met up with a friend who had a belief in God. He told her that HE is real and that He listenes to us when we pray. HE told her that he felt as though God lead him to her to help during these hard times! Gabriela said that for the first time in her life she felt hope and loved. SHe went home that night and decided to pray and talk to God! She said that she felt a overwhelming feeling of love and like a heat that just filled her entire body! Gabriela began to cry as she looked at us and was telling us her incredible story. I too began to have tears in my eyes. I shared a little bit of my life story with her and how I too at one point in my life thought that I was all alone and that hope did not exist, neither did answered prayers. It was a very powerful and spiritual lesson we had with this new Miracle of ours. SHe listened to every word were said about the Atonement, The Holy Ghost, and how Christ is our Savior. She listened to every word with such hope and a light in her eyes. She then told us that the first day we passed by from knock}king on her door, she felt that same "heat" in her heart and that she needed to listen to us because we were sent from God! WOW is that isnt a miracle, I dont know what is! It was a great day for Hermana Rand and I to meet this amazing girl! We are teaching her now and we have invited her to be baptised and she accepted! It was an answer to our many prayers and a lot of hard hard work! WORK HARD, PRAY HARDER!!!! Works every time!

I dont have much time, so I will see you all next week!!
