The One with A Miraculous Sunday!

Hey everyone! This week was a great week here in Chile Santiago Sur! We had a fun week with some great ward activities for the CHile Independence Day and a lot of success in the work! So last Saturday we had our huge ward party and we ate a yummy Chilean BBQ and had a war of Ping Pong! My comp and I were doing great until we went up against some Hermano and he killed us, but it was fun anyway!



THis week we had the opportunity to listen tto and have a Conference with a member if the General Authority 70, Elder Bragg! It was so amazing to hear and have a Conference with Elder Bragg. He gave so much insiration and wisdom for our little mission! One thing that really stuck out to me was his way of telling us how we can find and have miracles in the work of the Lord. It is a mix of three very important things, 1. Having a love so deep that it turns to charity 2. Having the highest but most acheivable expectations and 3. Integrity. These 3 things are the pathway to finding Miracles in the work. Best advice ever! I love the part where he talked of Integrity and the importance it has. To have Integrity, we need to always to the right thing, no matter if someone is watching or no. You do the right thing for the right reason! If we as missionaries can be obedient because we want to and know that it is the right thing to do, and we have charity, and have high expectations, we will see MIRACLES! I love this! It was a great Conference and I even got a picture with Elder Bragg because he took pictures with all the Leaders of the Mission. It was great and such a privilege! 

So, this week we were able to see a Miracle this week!  We had plans to have many people at the Church this week, and we were so excited to see everyone there. Sunday morning, the sun decided not to come out and it began to rain! HARD! It was a little scary because we weren't sure if they were still going to be able to come! But we went to go pick up our family of investigators and there they were, ready to go to church! We began walking and then all of a sudden, our Investigators son pulled up in a car and offered a ride! Rand and I just walked but our investigators went to church, and the son decided to come too! We walked in with 4 investigators and then saw our GOLDEN investigador waiting in the church! Then we had two Haitianos come too! YAY! WE HAD 8 PEOPLE AT CHURCH! MIRACLE!!! We were so happy and just thrilled. I really saw that if we can have true love for these people and expectations and integrity, we will see the miracles. It was a blessing to have all these people at church on Sunday and I had a smile on my face the entire time! What a great week!

FEBRUARY 8, 2017 These are family home evenings with some of my favorite families in our ward and also with a new convert that we have! His name is Christian and he was baptized just a week before I came to the sector! He is a miracle and such a faithful member! He is one of the coolest people I have ever met! The One with Being Bold! 11-8-17

NOVEMBER 8, 2017 Hello friends and family how are you all doing this week! I am doing great here in the mission Chile Santiago South This week was a week full of conferences. We had one as the South part of the mission and then we had a huge one as a whole mission and the West mission. It was crazy! While we were there I realized how tiny our mission is and how few of us there really are. The West mission has many many missionaries and we are just so few, but we are the best! The west mission were all serious and our mission was a fun and excited! We are like a big, happy family! We had a special visit from Elder Christensen and his wife from the 70. They gave some powerful and uplifting talks! Something that stood out to me was a quote by Elder Christensen that said BE BOLD! I love this so much! It is soooo important to be bold in all that we do as missionaries! It is vital to share the Gospel and our Testimonies with Boldness! But not just missionaries with nametags all members need...

THE ONE WHERE I AM TRAINING!! 3/01

MARCH 1, 2017 Yup, so this week we had changes and I have been called to be a trainer! My daughter (companion but in the mission I am her mom and she is my daughter) is brand new! She has 2 dyas now in Chile and she is from Brasil! I also have to teach her Spanish. I know she will learn fast with the Gift of Tongues and with living here in Chile so I have no worries. She already speaks SO much more than I did when I came to Chile so we will be fine! She is from the south part of Brasil so her accent is very very strong! BUT we live with 2 other Hermanas also from Brasil sooo I have learned to understand what she is saying because I am used to the accent. I am living with 3 Brasilians and the two Elders in my ward are Brasilian too... looks like I am going to be learning some Portuguese!! I am pumped!  So before we had the changes Hermana Knechtel and I were in the house for 3 days because she got so sick! She had strep-throat and then it turned to tonsilitus! She was so sick and...
